Privet grows everywhere in Grey Lynn. The local weed: A pest of sorts , sits around ,chopped and looking for a new use. While sitting on the pile of cut wood having a coffee, this new project came into the afternoon sun.
The white fine grain of the Privet highlights any surface texture in the work. It accepts a range of textures and colours. The tulip opening will provide a great contrast to the white timber. The first bowl finished looked lonely, so came the others.
